Our Story
Since 1968, Lonkard Construction has been serving the Northern Kentucky area by doing underground utilities, site development, and concrete work.
Raymond "Pete" Lonkard started the company with only a few resources. It began with a used Case backhoe and a couple of trucks. Doing septic tanks, cattle guards, and anything to make a buck has expanded to 4 crews, about 25 pieces of equipment, and around 25 employees, and expanded to underground utilities, total site development, and concrete work. Pete and his family have grown the business into a very respectable and professional company in Northern Kentucky.
Lonkard Construction is a third generation, family-owned business. In the early years, Pete and his wife, Marlene, ran the office from their home in Union, KY. While Pete's focus was on the hard work of owning a business and field teaching his children on hard work, the importance of doing the job right, and great customer service.
Around 1996, the company outgrew the Union office and moved to the new office and shop on 3 Lendale Drive in Florence, Kentucky. Sadly in 1998, Pete passed away, leaving his wife, Marlene, and their children to carry on the business.
The company continues to grow on the solid foundation provided by Pete and Marlene. Ownership is now shared between first, second, and third generations. It's a great combination of experience and guidance, as well as fresh ideas and new technology. Another big factor in our success is having such great employees that make a great team.
We look forward to the opportunity for our family and exceptional employees to fill your need in the construction trade that has made Lonkard Construction what it is today.
